Gabriel is the co-founder of Mezcal Viejo Indecente, a venture that was born from the dream of a group of young Mexicans and the Lucas family, who are originally from the south of the central valleys of Oaxaca, where they work in the distillation of mezcal, a tradition instilled by parents to children since 8 generations ago.
It’s a product directly connected to the land and the family heritage, made to be appreciated for its flavor and origin, taking care of the soils as part of the process, with the selection of agaves from the planting of the same depending on the land in which you want to cultivate.
Mercado Libre has allowed this venture to reach people they had never dreamed of. The pandemic was a window of opportunity in which entrepreneurs realized that offering their products online through their marketplace was an ideal tool, which resulted in larger sales. Gabriel recognizes that Mercado Libre was a great element that allowed them to survive the pandemic.
