Everything Marianela does is tinted by her sustainable innovative vision. That’s why her venture called Cuarto Colorado, located in the Argentine neighborhood of Ituzaingó, calls up artists to design colorful stamps for rainy days.
“I graduated as a Graphic Designer 12 years ago and at that time, due to my graphic design view of the world, I happened to realize that rainy days were totally dull, and that we had been told that we had to wear all monochromatic clothing during those days. From that time on, I thought that I could take my experience as a graphic designer to products for rainy days and be able to see an art gallery in the streets”, Marianela says.
Under that lead, and strongly committed by her vocation, she joined her SME company to one of the remaining umbrella companies in the country, Juana Moreno. After a whole life making umbrellas, she decided to jump onboard and take this challenge to contribute with her talent and knowledge.
Cuarto Colorado wants to create a social, environmental, and economic impact. On the one hand, they work with an artist program promoting their works as a brand, and also training them to offer them tools that allow them to launch their entrepreneurship, and on the other, they develop a line of eco-raincoats made by a recycled plastic fabric.
“I imagine a world that every time it rains, it gets full of little dots, and that behind each of those little dots there is a story to tell. A story that is absolutely fabulous as Juana’s”, said Marianela, filled with emotion.
