We make alliances with several carriers in each of the countries where Mercado Envios tool is used. Carriers use this technological solution which can adjust to each country’s special features, to directly render their delivery services to users.
Delivery methods
For sellers (depending on the country)
Mercado Envíos Full: It is an additional and supplementary service to Mercado Envíos tool, used for temporary protection of certain users’ assets until the time the sale is completed on the platform, oriented to reduce product delivery times.
Mercado Envíos Flex: It is an app that allows real time tracking of delivery processes directly carried out by the seller.
Mercado Envíos Extra: It is an app that allows those who have their own vehicle (such as a motorbike, car, or van, depending on the country) to deliver Mercado Libre buyers’ packages. Through the app, people get offers detailing where they have to pick up their packages, and then they access the route they must follow to make deliveries to buyers.
For buyers
In store pick up: buyers can pick up their products at different pick up points (pick up store) , conveniently located for consumers.
Free shipping: starting from certain amounts, and depending on each country, buyers can choose free shipping, to offer a better service for buyers, and support sellers with their sales. Thanks to Mercado Libre loyalty program, users have access to benefits that can be translated into better costs and free shipping.
Cart: it allows to group different products in one single purchase and shipping to reduce shipping costs.
Returns: We have implemented an express return method, where buyers have a 30-day period starting from the reception of the product, to start the return process and send it back at the nearest post office.
Fulfillment service
There are 19 hubs working under fulfillment modality: 9 in Brazil, 7 in Mexico, 1 in Chile, 1 in Colombia, and 1 in Argentina. Such hubs provide temporary protection for some assets to optimize delivery terms of the products sold in the platform and improve user’s purchasing experience, offering a fast, safe and cost effective experience.
They are model facilities, developed with state-of-the art technology, which are generating a strong socio-economic impact on the communities they do business with, in terms of both direct and indirect employment. Such facilities are assisted by some markets with Cross Docking and Service Centers, with the same objective in mind, which is to reach buyers’ hands faster and safer.
